The founder of Honey and Boba, Mikaela Rose, has a passion for both baking and making a difference in her community, which is where her initiative of "baking a difference" originated.

Rose explained the initiative to MTL Blog, saying "Every Saturday we donate out extra cookies and cake pops to local groups and organizations as a way to thank them for the work they do. We’ve brought boxes for example to animal rescue staff, frontline workers who work with kids with special needs and groups that prepare lunches for homeless individuals around Montreal!"
