Geneva to host leading global meteorological event in June

Meteorological Technology World Expo is firmly established as the world’s largest meteorological exhibition and conference dedicated to showcasing and discussing the latest and next-generation climate measurement and forecasting technologies and services. This truly global exhibition attracts around 200 exhibiting companies and 4,000 attendees from over 100 countries. This event will be held at Palexpo, in Geneva, from 5th to 7th June.

The exhibition will showcase the very latest climate, weather and hydrometeorological forecasting, measurement and analysis technologies and service providers for a global community of key decision makers within the aviation industry, shipping companies, marine/port installations, airports, military operations, off-shore exploration companies, wind farm operators, met offices, agricultural operations and research institutes. Operations directors, senior scientists, programme managers, purchasing chiefs and managing directors from these industries can expect to see numerous exhibits from leading instrument, measurement and analysis tools manufacturers and service providers from all corners of the globe.

The event will also include a free-to-attend conference, which will include presentations on the latest technologies in hydrology, meteorology and climatology projects and solutions. The conference will take place inside the exhibition hall, and will run throughout the three days of the expo, meaning attendees can pick and choose which sessions they would like to attend, and then spend the rest of their time in the exhibition searching for new technologies or services.

In 2019 the event will host an additional new wave of visitors thanks to the expo being timed to take place while the WMO’s congress, which attracts the most senior public-sector, national weather service executives, is in progress. Dedicated buses will be provided throughout every day of the exhibition to enable all 900+ congress delegates to visit the World Expo. The congress delegates will dine within the show every lunchtime, and attend special collaborative networking events at the show. Furthermore, the World Expo will host WMO Congress panel discussions and congress conference sessions on the exhibition floor.

Entrance to both the exhibition and the conference – which is located within the exhibition – is free. Visitors can register for their free entry code here.

Meteorological Technology World Expo is exclusively for people involved in the decision-making process in specifying and purchasing climate, weather and hydrometeorological measurement, prediction and analysis technologies, plus service providers. The event is not open to the general public or students; this exhibition will act as a meeting place for professionals and purchasers of major technological systems only.
